After studying at the London School of Dramatic Art, I spent several years working in theatres around the UK and sold and exhibited drawings and paintings while my children were small.

In 1990 I set up a textile studio in rural Galloway in South West Scotland designing and selling wearable sculpture and headwear.

I now concentrate specifically on designing and making textile hats.

As a textile designer I am totally committed to the concept of good and innovative design in contemporary living and attempt to create a continuous collection of original and distinctive textile hats of universal appeal.
